Shot to death

So many things can change when one person dies. People you knew forget how to smile. Children remember the ones who don't come anymore. They ask about them and when you explain death they take it so naturally as if it was only part of yet another day. I wish I could share their obliviouness. Time has made me wise. But been wise never saved anyone from the unforseen events that we call upon ourselves. Human's only real threat is themselves (and if you are a religious person, Satan). Can anyone truly be that blind???
